Walks & Trails
The largest of the Mayo offshore islands, Clare Island has a varied terrain: spectacular cliffs with large numbers of nestling sea birds and a rich ‘inland’ topography of hills and bogs and small pockets of woodland, making it ideal for hill walking.

Yoga Classes
Go Explore Hostel Guests can partake in Yoga Classes in one of Europe’s best known Yoga Retreats, the Clare Island Yoga Centre.
Cookery Classes
For any groups that have an interest in Fine Cookery, we can organise an in-house cookery class with Patricia O’ Grady of Westport Cuisine.
Natural Horsemanship
At Macalla horse Farm guests can partake in Natural Horsemanship lessons which are an exciting way to pass the day for all the family

Sea Activities
Sea Angling
The current Irish record Blue Shark and Porbeagle Shark records were both taken in the ocean off Achill Island. The deep waters around Clare Island offer superb fishing. We have a deep sea angling boat availible for day or half day rentals.
Scuba Diving
Go Explore Hostel operates a dive base for Dive Clubs. We can arrange full or part board packages for your dive group.
Surfing
We can offer surfing classes for individuals and families through our association with Surf Mayo. Carrowniskey Strand is located 10 minutes from Roonagh Harbour where Surf Mayo is based.

Arts & Crafts
Clare Island Hand Weaver – Spinning / Weaving / Natural Dying Demonstrations and Classes. The Ballytoughey loom is a small cottage industry producing high quality natural fibre hand woven goods.
